Now I'm in my late 50s (perhaps I fit the stereotypical image of a golfer?), so the idea of a smartphone is kind of lost on me.
...but this doesn't stop my eldest son from enjoying his gadgets. Now usually I would pretend to be interested in his latest Iphone apps but this weekend he really caught my attention with his golf swing app.
A golf swing app! A perfect excuse for me to revive my blog!
According to their website the app can all do of this:
Take VIDEO or PHOTOS to analyze
Stores any number of Golfers
Golfers are colour-coded by Type (pro, student, etc.)
Maintain a Profile of each golfer
Stores up to 200 Swing Sequences for each golfer
Use iPhone’s Camera Roll or other photo album to load photos
Built-in Pro and Model swings with analysis and instruction for reference
Browser (Safari) links provided to retrieve images any pro golfer on the web
Views of Down-the-line, Face-on, and Other (any view you want)
Advanced Drawing tools to draw on the photos
Advanced Image-Merge function to compare golfers and simulate motion
Easy text entry for Analysis and Instruction
Export function for emailing/posting sequences to the web (facebook, twitter, etc.)
Future app Updates with more functions and pro golfers
Priced at $9.99
Perhaps I should start paying more attention to these Iphone apps after all!
